Young Achiever of the Year Award - Nominations now open!

Friday, July 26, 2019 - 9:19 AM

Nominations are now officially open for the 2019 Young Achiever of the Year Award. This award is a wonderful opportunity to recognise & reward the hard working & high achieving young volunteers within junior football & thank them for their efforts throughout the 2019 season. Finalists for the award will be announced on Friday August 9th & the winner & finalists will be recognised at the Metro North Awards of Excellence at HBF Stadium on Friday 20th September.

In 2018, the Young Achiever of the Year Award was won by Jordan Smith from the Claremont District (pictured below, alongside finalists Ryan Harrison & Samuel O'Boyle) . Jordan did a fantastic job in his first year as District Auskick Coordinator & spearheaded the roll out of the new Auskick 2.0 Model to seven Auskick centres throughout the District. He also worked tirelessly in assisting with the delivery of the Claremont Auskick Gala Day. Alongside his work in Auskick, Jordan also had another asuccessful season as a junior coach at Marist JFC & was involved with a variety of roles in Claremont Football Club & PSA Development Squads. Jordan continues to be an outstanding role model & conducts himself in a very professional manner.

Football clubs across Metro North are strongly encouraged to nominate their young achievers & recognise them for the incredible job they are doing within their club & local community. Nominations are open until Monday August 5th.
